Nutter Butter Rice Krispie Bars
Description
The recipe starts by melting butter and peanut butter together over low heat, then incorporates marshmallows to create a sticky, sweet binder. Once melted and smooth, chopped Nutter Butter cookies and rice krispie cereal are folded in to distribute textures and flavors evenly. The mixture is then pressed into a pan and allowed to cool and set.
The inclusion of chopped Nutter Butter cookies adds a peanut-flavored crunch and crumb to the traditional rice krispie bar base. The sweetness of marshmallows and butter compliments the peanut butter's richness, while the cereal provides a crispy body. Cooling solidifies the bars for easy slicing into squares.
These bars serve well as a snack or dessert item, offering both peanut butter and marshmallow notes derived from the combination of ingredients. Their preparation requires no baking, making them accessible and quick to assemble.
