Ingredients

Servings
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

Preheat the Oven:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

Make the Cookie Dough:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the egg, white vinegar, vanilla extract, and red food coloring. Mix until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the white chocolate chips.

Shape the Cookies:

  1. Scoop about 2 tablespoons of dough for each cookie and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  2. Flatten each cookie slightly with your hand or the bottom of a glass.

Bake the Cookies:

  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
  2. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
