Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bars

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bars blend almond butter, mashed banana, and maple syrup with oats and chocolate chips to create soft, chewy bars with a naturally sweet, nutty depth. Flaxseed adds texture and nutritional value, while baking yields a golden top with melted chips, making these bars a satisfying snack or on-the-go treat.

Description

These Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bars combine almond butter's creamy richness with mashed ripe banana and pure maple syrup to bind rolled oats into a moist, chewy batter. Ground flaxseed contributes a gentle nutty texture and acts as a binding agent. Baking the mixture in an 8x8-inch pan concentrates the flavors and ensures the edges become golden while the center stays tender.

Chocolate chips are folded into the batter and sprinkled on top to provide melty pockets of chocolate throughout. The gentle sweetness from banana and syrup balances the oats and nut butter, producing a satisfying bar that doesn’t rely on refined sugar.

The bars are baked until a toothpick comes out clean, then cooled completely to set before slicing. They hold together well, making them practical for lunchboxes or quick snacks. Adding a sprinkle of flaky sea salt on top can enhance the chocolate’s flavor.
