Oatmeal M&M Blondies

Oatmeal M&M Blondies blend buttery richness with sweet brown and granulated sugar, oatmeal for texture, and colorful M&M candies. The batter is creamed and baked until set, yielding soft blondies speckled with melted chocolate candies that add bursts of color and sweetness. This treat is suitable for casual desserts or snacks with an inviting mix of chewiness and sweet crunch.

Description

The Oatmeal M&M Blondies recipe begins by creaming butter with both light brown and granulated sugars, then incorporating an egg and vanilla extract for moisture and flavor. Dry ingredients like all-purpose flour, oatmeal, and baking soda are combined separately, then folded into the wet mixture. M&M candies are stirred in by hand, reserving some to scatter on top before baking.

Baked in a greased or parchment-lined 8 x 8 pan at 350°F for 25-30 minutes, the blondies develop a set, slightly chewy texture. The oatmeal contributes a hearty mouthfeel, while the M&M’s offer colorful pockets of melted chocolate and candy crunch. The result is a sweet, festive bar perfect for casual occasions or sharing.

Careful mixing helps maintain the texture contrast, and baking until a toothpick comes out clean indicates proper doneness without overbaking, preserving softness.
