Olive Garden Shrimp Christopher

Olive Garden Shrimp Christopher features medium shrimp sautéed in a soft basil butter sauce made with fresh basil, garlic, Parmesan, and Romano cheese. Served over linguine or angel hair pasta, this dish delivers a creamy herb-infused sauce that coats the noodles and complements the shrimp’s tender texture.

Description

The recipe starts by finely chopping fresh basil leaves and whipping softened butter to a pliable consistency with an electric mixer. Garlic, salt, pepper, Parmesan, Romano cheese, and the chopped basil are incorporated to create a flavorful basil butter. Pasta is cooked separately according to package directions and kept warm.

The basil butter is melted in a skillet over medium heat, then shrimp are sautéed until just cooked through in about 2 to 3 minutes. The shrimp and basil cheese butter sauce are combined and served on top of the hot pasta. Additional grated Parmesan can be sprinkled on top or served alongside for added richness.

The dish stands out from typical shrimp pasta by integrating fresh basil directly into a rich, cheesy butter sauce rather than a tomato or cream base. This results in a savory, herbaceous coating with a silky texture that enhances the mild shrimp flavor and tender pasta.

Basil butter can be made ahead and refrigerated for several days, making the sauce preparation convenient. The simple steps focus on fresh ingredients and timing to blend herb and cheese flavors effectively without overpowering the shrimp or pasta.
