Olive Garden Zuppa Toscana Recipe

Olive Garden Zuppa Toscana is a hearty soup featuring Italian sausage, bacon, potatoes, kale, and a creamy broth. The combination of savory meats and tender potato chunks with leafy kale creates a rich and comforting texture. The soup simmers with garlic and chicken stock for a depth of flavor, topped optionally with Parmesan cheese for a finishing touch.

Description

This Zuppa Toscana recipe begins by crisping bacon and browning Italian sausage with garlic to develop a savory base. Adding water and chicken stock creates a broth that cooks russet potatoes until tender. Kale and cream are then stirred in to provide earthiness and a creamy texture that balances the savory meats.

The soup’s ingredients blend for a heartwarming dish combining crisp bacon pieces, sausage flavor, soft potatoes, and slightly chewy kale. The use of heavy cream adds richness without overpowering the flavors. Topping with shaved Parmesan cheese complements the savory elements with a salty, nutty note.

This soup suits a comforting meal served on its own or paired with crusty bread. It keeps well stored in the refrigerator for several days and freezes effectively for longer storage, making it convenient for future meals.
