Orange Creamsicle Pie
Description
This pie starts with a premade graham cracker crust filled with alternating layers of cream cheese mixture and orange Jell-O combined with whipped cream and orange zest. The cream cheese is beaten smooth with powdered sugar, and the Jell-O is dissolved in boiling water, then cooled before combining with whipped cream to maintain lightness.
The whipped cream is divided between the orange Jell-O mixture and the cream cheese base, folding delicately to preserve airiness. The layering of cream cheese mixture alternating with orange Jell-O mixture creates a visually appealing, creamy pie with citrus brightness.
Chilling overnight allows the gelatin to set, giving the pie a stable, smooth consistency that slices cleanly. Finished with a topping of additionally whipped cream mixed with powdered sugar and vanilla, this pie offers a refreshing and sweet citrus dessert reminiscent of the classic creamsicle flavor combination.
This dessert is made without baking, relying on chilling for setting, making it ideal for warm weather or when oven use is limited. The orange zest adds fresh citrus notes enhancing the orange Jell-O’s flavor.
