Orange Creamsicle Smoothie

The Orange Creamsicle Smoothie blends frozen orange slices with optional banana, vanilla soymilk, agave, and vanilla extract for a creamy, citrus-flavored drink reminiscent of the classic creamsicle. Including vanilla vegan yogurt boosts creaminess while optional banana or coconut cream balances thickness and sweetness.

Description

Orange Creamsicle Smoothie combines peeled and slightly frozen orange slices with optional banana, vanilla soymilk, agave syrup, and vanilla extract to create a smooth, creamy beverage. Using frozen fruit creates a chilled texture close to a creamsicle flavor profile. The addition of vanilla vegan yogurt enhances the creaminess and mouthfeel, though it is optional.

Blending the ingredients until smooth results in a bright, tangy, and sweet smoothie with hints of vanilla. Garnishing with orange slices and a GoodPop creamsicle adds a playful presentation and extra citrus notes.

This smoothie suits as a refreshing and sweet snack or breakfast drink. To adjust texture, additional plant-based milk or water can thin a thick blend. If banana is omitted, using coconut cream helps maintain desired creaminess. Smaller ice cubes and partially freezing fruit improve blending ease.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 5 orange peeled and sliced
  • 1 banana (optional)
  • 1 ¼ cup ice
  • ½ cup vanilla soymilk
  • 1 ½ tablespoons agave
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup vanilla vegan yogurt optional
  • Orange slices for garnish (optional)
  • 2 GoodPop creamsicles

Instructions

  1. Place orange slices and banana (if using) in the freezer for 20 minutes.
  2. Once they’re mostly frozen, add them to a blender with the ice, soymilk, agave, and vanilla, and blend until smooth.
  3. Pour ½ cup of vanilla yogurt into a glass, followed by the orange smoothie, filling about ½ inch away from the top of the glass. Garnish with an orange slice and GoodPop creamsicle. Repeat with a second glass. Enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Add more plant-based milk or water to adjust smoothie thickness if needed.
  • Substitute coconut cream for banana to maintain creaminess if preferred.
  • Use smaller ice cubes for easier blending without overprocessing.
