Oreo Balls Recipe
Description
This recipe uses mostly Oreo cookies finely crushed, mixed directly with softened cream cheese to create a rich, creamy filling. The mixture is rolled into one-inch balls and then dipped in melted semi-sweet chocolate, which hardens into a thin shell when refrigerated. The addition of reserved cookie crumbs sprinkled on top provides a textural contrast and reinforces the Oreo flavor.
Chilling the coated balls for about an hour allows the chocolate shell to set firmly, making them easy to handle. These Oreo Balls are convenient bite-sized treats ideal for parties or snacks and are kept fresh in the refrigerator within an airtight container.
Ingredients
- 16 ounces Oreo chocolate sandwich cookies divided
- 8 ounces cream cheese softened
- 2 (8 ounce) semi-sweet baking chocolate melted, packages
Instructions

- Dip balls in the melted chocolate; place on wax paper-covered tray or baking sheet. Sprinkle with reserved cookie crumbs.
