Oreo Cheesecake Cookies

Oreo Cheesecake Cookies combine soft cream cheese and butter with chopped Oreo pieces to create a rich, chewy cookie. The dough is chilled to firm up before baking, helping the cookies maintain a tender texture with a slight crunch from the Oreos. These cookies bake to a golden bottom with minimal spreading, producing a consistently thick and satisfying bite.

Description

Oreo Cheesecake Cookies blend softened cream cheese and butter with sugar and vanilla extract for a creamy base. Incorporating all-purpose flour and chopped Oreos yields a dough that retains chunks of cookie pieces, giving distinct texture and flavor. Chilling the dough before baking solidifies it, preventing excessive spreading and ensuring a soft, thick cookie. Baked at 350°F, these cookies develop golden brown bottoms while staying tender throughout.

The cookies’ texture is a balance of creamy richness from the cheesecake elements and crunch from the Oreos. Pressing the dough balls slightly before baking helps achieve an even shape and baking consistency. Once cooled, the cookies make a suitable treat to enjoy with coffee or as a dessert option during gatherings.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup butter softened, 1 stick
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 10 Oreo cookies chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, with an electric mixer beat the cream cheese, butter, sugar, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  2. Add the flour and continue to mix together, just until fully combined. Add the chopped Oreos and gently fold together. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes, or until firm.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F. Roll the cookie dough into small balls and place on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
  4. Press the dough balls down to flatten slightly (the cookies will not spread much on their own). Bake for 12-15 minutes or until cookies are golden brown on the bottom. Place cookies on a cooling rack to cool for at least 5 minutes.
