Oreo Chocolate Bread

Oreo Chocolate Bread is a rich quick bread incorporating cocoa powder, chunks of Oreo cookies, and semisweet chocolate chips for a decadent dessert loaf. The batter is creamed with butter and sugars, then mixed with dry ingredients and folded in cookies and chocolate for bursts of chocolate flavor and texture contrasts throughout.

Description

This Oreo Chocolate Bread starts by creaming softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until fluffy. A sifted mixture of flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt is added alternately with eggs and vanilla extract, forming a chocolate batter. Large chunks of Oreos and semisweet chocolate chips are folded gently into the mixture, reserving some Oreo pieces for topping.

The batter is poured into a prepared loaf pan, topped with remaining Oreo chunks, and baked at 350°F for about 50 to 55 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. The bread is moist and chocolatey with crunchy cookie pieces that soften slightly while baking, giving texture contrast. This loaf can be sliced for snacks, dessert, or breakfast treats.
