Ingredients

Servings
  • 12 Oreo cookies
  • 6-12 quares milk chocolate depending on size of squares, Hershey’s bars
  • pinch salt or kosher salt, sea salt
  • 12 large marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Set the oven to broil.
  2. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Separate the Oreo cookies. Place the cream side of the cookies cream side up on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Set the other cookie halves aside to top the s’mores after broiling.
  5. Place a square or 2 of chocolate over the Oreo cream.
  6. Sprinkle a bit of salt over the chocolate squares.
  7. Top the chocolate layer with a marshmallow.
  8. Carefully place the tray in the oven and broil for about 30 seconds. Do not leave the broiler unattended or your marshmallows can and will burn!
  9. Remove the tray from the oven once the tops of the marshmallows are a deep golden brown and they are slightly puffed.
  10. Immediately top the marshmallow with the Oreo cookie top and gently press them together.
  11. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Preheat the oven before broiling to ensure they are cooked evenly and quickly.
  • Watch closely while broiling to avoid burning your marshmallows.
  • Use larger marshmallows for a better filling-to-cookie ratio in each bite.
  • For smaller children, slice the marshmallows in half horizontally so they're still round but are easier to hold and eat.
  • Prefer softer marshmallows? Reduce the broiling time slightly or just top the cookie after 5 seconds of broiling instead of 30 seconds for a gooey texture inside!
  • Make sure to sprinkle salt onto each s'more as this will help balance out the sweetness and enhance all of the flavors in every bite!
