Oven Baked Steak Fries

Oven Baked Steak Fries are seasoned russet potato wedges baked until crisp and golden. Coated evenly with neutral oil, paprika, and steak seasoning, the potatoes develop a flavorful crust while staying tender inside. This recipe offers a practical method to achieve crispy fries in the oven without deep frying.

Description

The recipe starts with russet potatoes washed and cut into about 12 wedges each. The wedges are tossed with cooking oil, paprika, and steak seasoning to ensure full coverage and flavor. They are then spread in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet to allow air circulation and even cooking.

Baked at 425°F (218°C) for roughly 35 minutes, the fries are flipped once about 20 minutes into baking to promote even browning. The result is fries with a well-browned, seasoned exterior and a soft interior. Serving immediately preserves their crisp texture.

This straightforward preparation is suitable for those seeking a home-cooked alternative to fried steak fries with a robust spicy seasoning. The paprika adds smoky warmth, while steak seasoning contributes savory depth.
