Ingredients

  • ½ cup walnuts
  • ½ cup pine nuts
  • 3 garlic large cloves
  • 1 ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning dried
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ cup golden raisins
  • 6 oz spaghetti dry or any other type of pasta
  • salt pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente.
  2. Meanwhile, in a bowl of food processor add garlic, and both types of nuts. Pulse a few times until nuts are the size of raw buckwheat grains.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large sauce pan and over medium heat. Add chopped garlic and nuts, Italian seasoning, raising, salt and pepper to a taste. Cook for 5 minutes until nuts are slightly toasted. Be careful not to burn the sauce.
  4. Drain pasta reserving a cup of pasta cooking water.
  5. Toss spaghetti with nut and raisin sauce adding a bit of pasta cooking water if necessary to thin out the sauce.
  6. Serve immediately!
