Pasta Bolognese
Description
Pasta Bolognese features a savory mix of ground beef browned slowly, broken into fine pieces to create a tender texture. Chopped onions, celery, and shredded carrots soften in the skillet, developing a gentle sweetness that balances the acidity of the marinara sauce added next. Garlic adds aromatic depth, while salt and black pepper define the seasoning. The sauce simmers over medium-low heat, thickening and blending flavors. Once removed from heat, Parmesan cheese is stirred in, enriching the sauce with a creamy, salty finish.
This sauce pairs well with a variety of pasta shapes and works well as a main dish for a dinner or casual meal. Its balance of meat, vegetables, and sauce makes it flexible for serving with additional grated cheese or a side salad.
