Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Add softened butter, brown sugar and white sugar to a mixer or large bowl. Cream together for 2-3 minutes until full mixed.
  3. Add into the bowl egg and vanilla. Mix another minute until well mixed.
  4. In a medium size mixing bowl combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix the dry ingredients well.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix well until a dough forms.
  6. Stop the mixer and add in the chocolate chips and M&M’s to the dough. Gently mix on low. You can also do this step with a silicone spatula. Mixing the dough on medium or high can cause the M&Ms sometimes to crack.
  7. Scoop the dough with a cookie scoop onto a cookie sheet, about 2 tablespoons of dough at a time. Press a couple extra M&M’s into the top of each dough to decorate the cookies.
  8. Bake for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown around the edges. Cool on a cooling rack or clean kitchen towel.
