Instructions

  1. Start by washing all your fresh berries. Then, remove the tops of the strawberries and slice them into quarters. Set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese using an electric mixer or hand mixer until it’s smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the cool whip and continue mixing until everything is well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cheesecake pudding mix and milk until smooth.
  5. Add the pudding mixture to the cool whip mixture in the large bowl and mix until well combined.
  6. Add the mini marshmallows, quartered strawberries, and blueberries to the cheesecake mixture.
  7. Mix until well incorporated. Make sure to mix gently to avoid squishing the berries.
  8. Cover the bowl and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld together and the salad to firm up.
  9. After an hour of chilling, give it a final gentle mix. Then, serve your patriotic cheesecake salad chilled. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Room Temperature Ingredients: Make sure to soften your cream cheese before mixing. This ensures a smooth and creamy cheesecake mixture.
  • Fresh Berries: Use fresh berries for the best flavor and texture. If you’re using frozen berries, thaw and drain them well to avoid excess moisture in the salad.
  • Adjust Sweetness: Taste the cheesecake mixture before adding the berries and marshmallows. If you prefer it sweeter, add a bit of powdered sugar to the mixture.
  • Serve Cold: This salad tastes best when served cold. Keep it in the fridge until you’re ready to serve to keep it refreshing and delicious.
