Peach Burrata Caprese Salad
Description
This salad pairs tender spring greens with juicy slices of fresh, ripe peaches and chunks of creamy burrata cheese, making for a contrast of textures and flavors. The basil leaves add a fragrant herbal note that complements both the fruit and cheese. Baking thin slices of prosciutto until crisp creates a savory, crunchy garnish that contrasts the freshness of the other ingredients.
The salad is built on a platter by layering greens, then adding burrata chunks distributed across the surface, peach slices placed evenly, and sprinkled basil and prosciutto on top. Generous seasoning with salt and black pepper perfektly balances the elements. Right before serving, a drizzle of balsamic glaze and high-quality extra virgin olive oil adds acidity, sweetness, and richness to tie the salad together.
You can prepare this salad several hours ahead of time and refrigerate it, adding the balsamic glaze and olive oil just before serving to keep the greens fresh and vibrant.
Ingredients
- 2 cups spring mix greens packed
- 1-2 peach fresh ripe
- 8 ounces burrata cheese
- 1 cup basil fresh leaves
- 2 ounces prosciutto optional, sliced
- 1-2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

- black pepper
Instructions
- Optional Prosciutto Garnish: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Tear the slices of prosciutto into 1-2 inch pieces. Lay the pieces on a baking sheet and bake for 5-6 minutes, until crisp.
- Set out a large platter. Arrange the salad green on the platter in an even layer.
- Break the burrata ball into 2-4 chunks and place the pieces on the greens.
- Slice the peaches and arrange the slices around the burrata chunks. Sprinkle the basil leaves and optional crispy prosciutto pieces over the top. Then salt and pepper generously.
- When ready to serve, drizzle balsamic glaze and olive oil over the top.
Notes
- The salad can be assembled a few hours before serving and kept refrigerated; add balsamic glaze and olive oil right before serving to maintain freshness.
