Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon almond extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 (21-ounce) cans peach pie filling
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. using a hand mixer, whisk together the butter and granulated sugar until they are light and fluffy. whisk in the eggs, then the vanilla, and almond extract.
  3. In a separate bowl whisk together the flour and salt. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix until combined.
  4. In another bowl, mix the peach pie filling, brown sugar, and cinnamon together.
  5. Spread 3 cups of the batter into the prepared baking dish, then spread the pie filling over the batter, lastly drop the remaining batter over the pie filling.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes clean. Cool on a wire rack.
  7. When the bars are cooled, whisk the powdered sugar, milk, almond, and vanilla extracts to make the glaze and drizzle it over the bars.

  • *can also be made with 6-8 fresh peaches
