Peach Cobbler with Cake Mix and Canned Peaches

Peach cobbler made with canned peaches and yellow cake mix offers a straightforward baked dessert mixing juicy peaches with a cinnamon-spiced cake topping. Melting butter drizzle enriches the surface, which bakes to a golden puffed finish. Served warm with whipped cream or ice cream, it balances fruit sweetness with a soft cakey crust.

Description

This peach cobbler layers canned sliced peaches and their syrup in a 9x13 baking dish. One can, syrup and all, is poured in first, followed by the drained peaches from the second can to ensure the fruit doesn't become too soupy. The dry yellow cake mix is then evenly sprinkled over the peaches, along with ground cinnamon to add warm spice.

Melted butter and the reserved syrup are drizzled over the cake mix to moisten and bind the topping. As it bakes at 375°F for 35 to 45 minutes, the cake mix rises and browns to create a light crust over the spiced, tender peaches. Cooling briefly before serving allows flavors to set.

This cobbler is commonly served warm alongside whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for a comforting balance to the rich fruit and spiced topping. Using canned peaches and cake mix simplifies preparation without sacrificing classic dessert qualities.
