Ingredients
For the waffles:
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup plain greek yogurt or sour cream
- 2 eggs
- 3 tablespoons butter melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch kosher salt
- 15 ounce can Peach Slices in 100% Fruit Juice drained
Instructions
- Heat waffle iron.
- In a bowl (or blender), whisk the milk, Greek yogurt or sour cream, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla.
- In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
- Form a well in the center and add the wet mixture to the dry to form a smooth your batter.
- Chop peach slices into small pieces to fill ½ to ¾ cup and save remaining slices for topping. Add chopped peaches to the batter and mix to combine.
- When iron is hot, spray lightly with non-stick spray (if necessary). Fill your waffle iron with enough batter to fill the cavity (this will vary by waffle iron) and cook until a golden brown crust forms.
- Serve waffles warm, topped with whipped cream and peach syrup.
