Peanut Butter and Pumpkin Dog Treats

Peanut Butter and Pumpkin Dog Treats are homemade baked snacks made with whole wheat flour, peanut butter, pumpkin, and cinnamon. The dough is firm, rolled out, cut into shapes, and baked until golden and hard enough to last as a crunchy treat. These treats combine flavors that are typically enjoyable and safe for dogs, offering a wholesome snack option for pet owners.

Description

This dog treat recipe blends whole wheat flour with creamy peanut butter, pumpkin, and cinnamon, producing a thick dough that can be rolled out and cut with cookie cutters. Vegetable or meat stock is added to help bind the dough. Baking at 350°F until golden brown creates treats that are firm and crunchy, providing dogs with satisfying chewiness.

The ingredients are selected for their dog-friendly qualities, with pumpkin offering digestive benefits and peanut butter adding flavor and healthy fats. Cinnamon is included for mild seasoning safe in small amounts.

These treats are best stored in an airtight container to maintain freshness and crunch. The baking time varies with treat size, so monitoring is important to achieve the right texture without burning.

Caution is advised to ensure peanut butter does not contain xylitol, which is toxic to dogs.
