Homemade Dog Treats

Homemade Dog Treats are probably much easier to make than you thought. I like to make my own recipes because I know exactly what ingredients are in them and there are no chemicals or preservatives. Just a healthy, yummy snack for my pup.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 egg large
  • 1 cup pumpkin canned
  • ¼ cup peanut butter creamy
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, eggs, pumpkin, peanut butter, salt, and cinnamon. Stir the ingredients together until they form into soft dough.
  3. Remove the dough from the bowl, and gently knead it into a ball shape. Place the ball of dough onto a lightly floured surface. (use whole wheat flour). Roll the dough into a large circle, about ½ inch in thickness.
  4. Use your favorite cookie cutter shape, or cut into squares using a pizza cutter. Place pieces onto a baking sheet, lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the treats are firm.

Notes

  • This recipe makes 48-60 small biscuits and 24-30 larger biscuits.
