Peanut Butter Banana Cookies
Description
Peanut Butter Banana Cookies mix quick oats with mashed ripe bananas and natural peanut butter to create a batter that is wholesome and tender. The natural sweetness and moisture from the bananas reduce the need for additional sugar or liquid, making the cookies denser and chewier than traditional recipes. Semi-sweet chocolate chips add bursts of rich flavor and contrast.
The cookies are formed into spoonfuls, flattened slightly on a parchment-lined baking sheet, and baked at 350°F for 8 to 10 minutes. They retain their shape during baking and develop a soft yet set texture. They benefit from a sprinkle of flaked salt after baking to highlight the peanut and banana flavors.
Once baked, they are best served warm when the chocolate chips are melty and the cookies are soft. Leftovers keep well in an airtight container in the refrigerator to maintain freshness and texture. This simple combination results in naturally sweet, chewy cookies that are practical for snacks or breakfast treats.
Ingredients
- 2 cups quick oats
- 1 ¼ cups banana about 2-3 bananas, mashed
- 1/2 /2 cup peanut butter natural
- 1/4 /4 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet
