Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies blend creamy peanut butter with semi-sweet chocolate chips for a soft, chewy cookie with a rich nutty flavor. The dough is chilled before baking to help the cookies hold their shape, resulting in a tender center and slightly crisp edges. Flattened with a fork for a classic pattern, these cookies offer a balanced sweetness from both brown and granulated sugars that complement the peanut butter's depth.

Description

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies combine key pantry staples like butter, peanut butter, and sugars creamed until light and fluffy, creating the base of the dough. Eggs add moisture and structure, while a mixture of flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt gives the cookies lift and tenderness. Semi-sweet chocolate chips are folded in last for bursts of chocolate throughout. Chilling the dough for at least two hours firms it, helping the cookies maintain shape during baking. Baking at 375°F for 10-12 minutes yields a chewy yet set cookie that is recognizable by its crosshatched fork marks on top. These cookies are a classic combination, marrying the richness of peanut butter with chocolate in a comforting, home-style treat.
