Peanut Butter & Chocolate Crescent Roll

This recipe wraps peanut butter and chocolate chips inside crescent roll dough to create a baked pastry with a golden brown exterior and a sweet, creamy interior. The peanut butter softens during baking, complementing melted chocolate chips inside each roll. Extra melted chocolate is drizzled on top for added richness and visual appeal.

Description

Using refrigerated crescent rolls, the dough is unrolled and spread with peanut butter at the wide end. Chocolate chips are added on top, and the dough is rolled into a crescent shape, enclosing the filling. Baking at 375°F produces a flaky, glazed pastry with a browned surface and warm, melty filling. The residual chocolate chips are melted separately in a microwave-safe bag and drizzled over the cooled rolls, providing extra chocolate flavor and decoration.

This combination offers a convenient way to enjoy a sweet treat with familiar ingredients and minimal preparation. The contrast between the flaky dough, creamy peanut butter, and smooth chocolate makes these crescent rolls appealing as a snack or dessert. The recipe's simplicity leverages pre-made dough to shorten preparation time.
