Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe

These Peanut Butter Cookies are soft and slightly firm upon cooling, made from a dough of peanut butter, butter, sugars, flour, baking powder, egg, and vanilla. The dough is rolled into balls, flattened in a criss-cross pattern, and baked to a lightly golden finish, highlighting the rich peanut butter flavor with a tender texture.

Description

The cookie dough combines all-purpose flour and baking powder sifted together with butter, peanut butter, brown and granulated sugars creamed until smooth. Egg and vanilla extract provide structure and aromatic notes. Once mixed, the dough is shaped into one-inch balls and flattened with a fork to create the characteristic pattern.

Baked at 350°F for about 10 minutes, the cookies come out very soft but firm up as they cool on the baking sheet. The texture is tender with a distinct peanut butter taste enhanced by optionally adding salt if the peanut butter is not salty.

These cookies are well suited for serving at room temperature and can be stored for snacking. They balance sweet and savory notes with a classic homemade cookie consistency.
