Peanut Butter Magic Shell
Description
This recipe blends peanut butter, coconut oil, and sugar gently over medium-low heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is smooth. Once cooled to room temperature, the magic shell can be stored in the refrigerator. When drizzled over ice cream, the coating quickly hardens into a crisp, peanut-flavored shell that contrasts with the creamy ice cream beneath.
The recipe allows for creamy or chunky peanut butter depending on the desired texture in the shell. The coconut oil is critical for allowing the mixture to solidify at cold temperatures. The sugar adds slight sweetness balancing the peanut’s savoriness.
This magic shell topping is a simple way to add a crunchy, flavorful layer to ice cream and can be stored refrigerated for up to two weeks in a sealed container for convenience.

Notes
- Store the magic shell in a sealed container in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 weeks to maintain freshness.
