Peanut Butter Skillet Cookie
Description
Peanut Butter Skillet Cookie starts with creaming together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar to a light, fluffy texture, then mixing in creamy peanut butter, egg, and vanilla. Dry ingredients including flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt are folded in until just combined. Reeses Pieces and optionally peanut butter cups or chocolate chips are stirred in for bursts of peanut flavor and sweetness.
The dough is pressed evenly into a 12-inch oven-safe skillet such as cast iron and baked at 350°F until just underdone to maintain a gooey center. Warm from the oven, the cookie is served topped with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge sauce, combining warm, melty textures with cool creamy ice cream for a classic dessert experience.
