Peanut Butter Snowballs
Description
This recipe combines creamy peanut butter with softened butter and vanilla extract, then incorporates powdered sugar and graham cracker crumbs to form a dough that can be shaped into balls. Chilling the balls helps them firm up before dipping.
The peanut butter centers are coated in melted white chocolate, which hardens to form a smooth, shiny shell. Decorations like holiday sprinkles can be added for color and festivity. The resulting snowballs offer a contrast between the crunchy coating and creamy, sweet interior.
These treats can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week, making them suitable for holiday parties or as a make-ahead dessert. The recipe allows flexibility in chocolate choice and toppings for different flavor and appearance variations.
White chocolate must be melted carefully to avoid seizing, and mixing in butter helps with a smooth coating texture. If the mixture is too wet for shaping, adding more powdered sugar gradually can help achieve the right consistency.
