Description
These peanut clusters start by melting semisweet chocolate chips carefully in a microwave in short intervals, preventing burning. Once smooth, shelled unsalted peanuts and a pinch of sea salt are stirred in to coat the nuts evenly with chocolate. The mixture is spooned onto parchment paper in small mounds and sprinkled with a dusting of sea salt while still wet. Placing them in the refrigerator solidifies the chocolate, forming firm clusters with a glossy appearance.
The result is a sweet and salty treat where crunchy peanuts contrast the smooth chocolate coating. The sea salt sprinkled on top brightens the flavor without overpowering the chocolate’s sweetness. Ingredients
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 1/2 cup peanuts shelled, unsalted
- 1/4 teaspoon salt sea salt
Instructions
- Add the chocolate chips to a large glass bowl and microwave in 30 second increments until smooth, stirring in between each 30 seconds.
- Add in the peanuts and stir to coat.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper then add small spoonfuls to the baking sheet in mounds.
- Sprinkle with sea salt while chocolate is still wet.
- Refrigerate until firm.
