Peanut Salad Dressing Recipe

This Peanut Salad Dressing combines smooth peanut butter with tangy lime juice, soy sauce, fresh ginger, and toasted sesame oil for a savory and mildly zesty dressing. Garlic adds depth, while water adjusts the consistency according to preference, making it suitable for salads or dipping sauces. The dressing is not sweet but can be lightly sweetened with maple syrup or honey if desired.

Description

The Peanut Salad Dressing is made by whisking together smooth peanut butter, fresh lime juice, soy sauce, minced ginger, toasted sesame oil, and garlic. Water is added gradually to thin the mixture to the desired consistency, ranging from a thick dip to a pourable salad dressing. Salt is adjusted for taste. The flavor balances the richness of peanut butter with sharp acidity and umami from soy sauce, while ginger and garlic provide aromatic notes.

The resulting dressing is versatile for green salads, noodle salads, or as a dip for raw vegetables. It has a nutty, savory profile without inherent sweetness, allowing customization with sweeteners if preferred. Chilling the dressing will thicken it, so additional water may be needed before serving if refrigerated.
