Pecan Pie Bark
Description
This Pecan Pie Bark uses whole graham crackers arranged tightly on a foil-lined baking sheet as the base. A mixture of butter, brown sugar, and salt is cooked together on the stove until boiling, then chopped pecans and vanilla extract are stirred in and quickly poured over the crackers. The assembly bakes briefly at 350 degrees to meld the flavors and crisp the topping.
Once cooled, the sheet is broken into chunks, showcasing the sticky, sweet pecan topping with lightly browned edges contrasting the crunchy cracker. The combination yields a texture that is both crunchy and chewy, reminiscent of pecan pie but simpler to prepare and portion.
This bark is convenient for serving at gatherings or as a sweet treat with coffee or tea. It stores well once completely cooled and broken apart.
