Pecan Pie Bars

Pecan Pie Bars feature a buttery crumb crust topped with a smooth filling combining brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, butter, vanilla, and chopped pecans. The bars bake to a firm yet tender finish, offering a sliceable alternative to traditional pecan pie with a nutty, sweet texture in every bite.

Description

These Pecan Pie Bars start with a crust made from all-purpose flour, softened butter, sugar, and salt mixed to a crumbly texture and pressed into a foil-lined pan. After baking the crust until lightly browned, a filling made from brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, melted butter, vanilla, and chopped pecans is poured on top. The bars bake again until edges are set but the center remains tender, then cool completely before slicing.

Unlike a classic pecan pie, these bars offer a firmer crust and a more portable format. The filling combines caramel notes from brown sugar and corn syrup with crunchy pecans adding texture and flavor balance. They serve well as a dessert or snack, especially when cut into small squares.
