Pecan Pie Recipe
Description
The recipe begins with preparing a frozen pie crust as the base. The filling blends light corn syrup with eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract to create a smooth sweet custard. Pecans are added with half chopped and half whole halves to provide a mix of textures across the pie’s surface and interior.
Pouring the mixture over the nuts in the crust, the pie bakes at 350°F for 50 to 60 minutes until the filling has set fully yet remains slightly firm to the touch. Cooling before serving allows the custard to firm completely and enhances flavor integration.
This straightforward pecan pie provides the traditional sweet and nutty flavors expected from this dessert, suitable for gatherings or a seasonal treat pairing well with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.
