- 50 gms speck thinly sliced, Italian
- ½ onion thinly chopped, small
- 2 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
- ½ cup of water
- salt to taste
- 150-200 ml cooking cream thick cream
- parmigiano reggiano thinly grated to serve
- pepper ground, to serve
- 350 gms penne pasta 3/4 lb
