Ingredients
- 6 cups vanilla ice cream softened
- 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips chopped
- 6 candy canes smashed
- 1/2 tablespoon peppermint extract start with this amount and work your way up
Instructions
- First, start by emptying the entire container of ice cream into the large bowl of a stand mixer. Loosen it up by mixing it by itself for a few seconds.
- Smash your candy canes by putting them in a thick storage bag and banging away. You want pretty small pieces. Same with the chocolate! Chop it pretty small.
- Pour in the chocolate, candy canes and extract into the bowl of ice cream.
- Stir it all around until well combined.
- Pour it back into the empty vanilla ice cream container and re-freeze until it firms up! That's it! Enjoy!
