Peppermint Patty Cookies
Description
These Peppermint Patty Cookies start by mixing a dark chocolate fudge cake mix with egg, softened cream cheese, and butter to create a thick dough. The dough is formed into balls, flattened, and wrapped around an individually sized peppermint patty, encasing the mint center completely.
Baked at 350°F, the cookies develop a tender, fudgy texture with a warm, melted mint filling inside. The contrast between the chocolate cookie and the fresh peppermint patty creates a distinctive combination of flavors and textures suitable for holiday treats or year-round snacking.
After baking, the cookies cool on the pan briefly before transferring to a wire rack. Storing in an airtight container keeps them soft and fresh. They also freeze well for up to six weeks, allowing for make-ahead preparation or gifting.
