Instructions
For the Cake
- Prepare a loaf pan or small bundt pan with non stick spray and set aside. Preheat the oven to 350. Set the racks so that there is one in the middle of the oven.
- In a large or medium bowl, mix together the cake mix and the sun drop and pudding mix. Mix well and pour the batter into the cake pan. Place into the hot oven immediately.
For the Glaze
- Mix the confectioners sugar, lemon extract, vanilla extract, almond extract, melted butter and a pinch of salt
Notes
- This cake is best when kept in the refrigerator, but it can be kept at room temperature for a few hours.
- Store in an airtight container for best results.
- Place on a wire rack until the cake cools.
- If you prefer a cream cheese frosting instead of the glaze recipe I've included, that will also work with this cake (just add a little lemon juice!)
- You can make a cherry lemon sundrop cake by adding cherry sundrop!
- If you do not have access to sun drop, use Mountain Dew instead.
- Be ready to mix the cake and put immediately into the oven, so allow oven to preheat first.
