Pesto Pasta
Description
This Pesto Pasta recipe prepares penne pasta cooked until tender, then combines it with olive oil warmed with minced garlic, pesto, and seasonings. The pasta is tossed to coat evenly in the fragrant sauce. Parmesan cheese is added in two forms: grated stirred into the pasta for a creamy element, and shaved on top for texture and flavor contrast.
The olive oil and garlic gently flavor the sauce, complementing the aromatic, herbaceous pesto. Garlic salt and black pepper add seasoning without overpowering the ingredients. The final pasta is served warm, showcasing the balance between the robust pesto and the mild pasta.
This pasta works well as a simple main or side dish. It pairs easily with grilled vegetables, chicken, or a light salad for a casual meal.
