Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 oz Chocolate Chip Cookie dough Toll House brand
  • 1 package sugar cookie dough Pillsbury brand, pumpkin shape

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Portion the chocolate chip cookie dough out into 20 different portions of 2 tablespoons each.
  3. Roll the dough into a ball shape between your palms. Place each dough ball on an ungreased cookie sheet, gently pressing the ball to slightly flatten the top. You will probably need to use 2 cookie sheets.
  4. On top of each chocolate chip cookie dough ball, place 1 uncooked Pillsbury Pumpkin Shape Sugar Cookie.
  5. Bake for 10-11 minutes or until the edges of the chocolate chip cookies are set. Allow the cookies to rest on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes before removing them to a cooling rack.
  6. Enjoy! Happy Halloween!

Notes

  • Copyright The Foreign Fork. For personal or educational use only.
  • Cookie Dough: Two ingredients. That’s it. You can find Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Pillsbury Sugar Dough cookies in most grocery stores. Pillsbury Halloween Cookies comes with lots of fun designs like ghosts, cats or pumpkins. Choose your favorite!
  • I’ve seen some recipes for these cookies use just 16 ounces of chocolate chip cookie dough for 20 cookies. I prefer to use much more dough to give yourself a more substantial cookie. Feel free to play around with your dough-to-dough ratios.
  • Portioning your chocolate chip cookie dough can be difficult. That’s why I recommend portioning out the dough first before adding your sugar cookie dough on top. If you are using a tube of dough try cutting it in half and then cutting each half in half and continuing in that way for even portions.
  • It’s important to flatten your chocolate chip cookie dough slightly before adding the sugar cookie dough on top. It would be a shame if that cute design slid off the top during baking!
  • The sugar cookies usually come in pre-sliced sections. As you pull them apart, you may notice one side is clearer than the other. Make sure the side with any streaks or smudges to the design goes on the bottom and the nicer design is on the top.
