Pineapple Agua Fresca (Agua De Piña)

Pineapple Agua Fresca captures the bright, tropical flavor of fresh pineapple blended with water and lightly sweetened. This refreshing beverage balances natural fruit sweetness with a gentle sugary touch, served chilled over ice. The strain step is optional depending on whether you prefer a smooth or pulp-included texture, making it adaptable to different preferences.

Description

This Pineapple Agua Fresca recipe blends fresh pineapple chunks with cold water and white sugar, creating a lightly sweetened fruit drink. Blending pulverizes the pineapple’s texture, and straining it removes pulp for a smoother beverage, though leaving pulp in offers a more rustic mouthfeel. The amount of sugar can be adjusted after tasting to manage the sweetness level.

Served over ice, this agua fresca offers a cool and invigorating taste that emphasizes the natural pineapple flavor. It’s a simple drink that works well for warm weather or alongside lighter meals.

The recipe suggests substitution of sugar with calorie-free sweeteners if desired, and the drink keeps refrigerated for 2 to 3 days, depending on pineapple ripeness, ensuring freshness while allowing prep ahead.
