Pineapple Agua Fresca (Agua De Piña)
Description
This Pineapple Agua Fresca recipe blends fresh pineapple chunks with cold water and white sugar, creating a lightly sweetened fruit drink. Blending pulverizes the pineapple’s texture, and straining it removes pulp for a smoother beverage, though leaving pulp in offers a more rustic mouthfeel. The amount of sugar can be adjusted after tasting to manage the sweetness level.
Served over ice, this agua fresca offers a cool and invigorating taste that emphasizes the natural pineapple flavor. It’s a simple drink that works well for warm weather or alongside lighter meals.
The recipe suggests substitution of sugar with calorie-free sweeteners if desired, and the drink keeps refrigerated for 2 to 3 days, depending on pineapple ripeness, ensuring freshness while allowing prep ahead.
