Pomegranate Gin and Tonic
Description
The Pomegranate Gin and Tonic starts by filling a glass with crushed ice and pomegranate seeds. Gin is poured over the ice, followed by tonic water. Freshly squeezed pomegranate juice and lime juice, along with lime wedges, are stirred in. A sprig of rosemary adds an aromatic herbal note both visually and in scent. The garnish of pomegranate arils atop the drink provides color and an occasional burst of fruity flavor.
This cocktail balances the bitterness of tonic and the slightly sweet, tart pomegranate juice. The lime juice gives acidity that brightens the drink, while gin’s botanicals add depth. The crushed ice chills the drink thoroughly to keep it crisp and refreshing.
Served immediately, this cocktail suits casual or festive occasions where a fruity and slightly herbal gin drink is desired. The rosemary sprig can be gently muddled before serving to increase its aroma, and additional garnishes can complement the presentation.
