Pork Chop Steak

Pork Chop Steak is marinated in soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, and black pepper then pan-fried and simmered with onions and a pork bouillon cube until tender. The dish cooks in its marinade enhanced by savory aromatics and thickened with cornstarch for a flavorful, tender pork entree served typically with warm rice.

Description

This recipe starts by marinating pork chops in a mixture of soy sauce, lemon juice, crushed garlic, and black pepper to infuse flavor and tenderize the meat. After searing the chops to develop a browned crust, onions and more garlic are sautéed to build the sauce base. The pork is returned to the pan with the marinade, water, and a pork bouillon cube for depth of flavor.

The dish is simmered covered on low heat for up to an hour until the pork becomes tender. A cornstarch slurry is added near the end to thicken the sauce, and remaining onions are added for texture. This produces tender pork chops with a rich, savory, and slightly tangy sauce.

Typically served alongside warm rice, this pork chop steak makes a filling and hearty meal. The slow simmering ensures the meat is flavorful and tender throughout.
