Pork Fried Rice Recipe

Report
This Pork Fried Rice recipe features diced pork tenderloin stir-fried with a mix of peas and diced carrots, combined with scrambled eggs and cooked rice. The dish is flavored with soy sauce, salt, and pepper, resulting in a savory fried rice with tender pork pieces and a balanced vegetable touch. Cold, cooked rice is used to achieve the ideal fried rice texture where grains are separate and lightly browned. The dish is completed with sliced green onions for freshness and color.

Description

Pork Fried Rice Recipe combines diced pork tenderloin sautéed in a blend of sesame and vegetable oils with a mix of frozen peas and carrots. After cooking the pork and vegetables separately, lightly beaten eggs are scrambled directly in the pan before reintroducing the pork and adding cold cooked rice. Seasoned with soy sauce, salt, and black pepper, the rice is cooked until heated through and slightly browned, providing a classic fried rice texture and flavor.

The inclusion of both sesame oil and vegetable oil gives a nuanced flavor base, while the step of cooking with cold, leftover rice prevents sogginess and promotes a better stir-fry texture with separated grains. Peas and carrots add mild sweetness and color. Scrambled eggs add richness and protein to the dish, rounding out the flavor and texture.

Once cooked, the dish is garnished with sliced green onions which add a fresh bite and mild sharpness. Pork Fried Rice can be served as a standalone meal or alongside other Asian-inspired dishes. Using cold, leftover rice is practical and helps achieve the right texture when stir-frying. This dish is suitable for a quick homemade weekday meal when you have leftover rice and want to use pork tenderloin.

To maximize texture, use cold rice that has been refrigerated. Leftovers store well in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days, making it convenient for make-ahead meals or quick reheating. Reheat thoroughly before serving for best taste and food safety.
