Pork Tenderloin with Orange Sauce
Report
My zesty orange sauce perfectly compliments this tender, juicy Southern pork tenderloin. An easy yet impressive dish that’s full of flavor.

Instructions
- In a bowl whisk together the marinade ingredients. Place the pork tenderloin in a sealable plastic bag. Pour over pork, squeeze out excess air and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat your grill to 350°F. Remove pork and reserve the marinade for basting. Grill for 15 minutes; turning pork once, pork should be browned all over with internal temperature at 145°-155°F, depending on how you prefer (pink to white). Remove from grill, cover with foil and let pork rest while making the sauce.
- If you don’t have a suitable grill or grill pan, bake the pork tenderloin at 400°F for 20 to 30 minutes, turning halfway through (with internal temperature at 145°-155°F).
Orange Sauce
- In a saucepan add the sugar, orange juice, zest, cornstarch, cinnamon, clove and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar. Turn heat to low and simmer until thickened. The sauce will be an amber, almost clear sauce at this point.
- Add orange slices if you like for garnish and pour sauce over the sliced pork.
Notes
- Recipe adapted from The Plantation Cookbook by the Junior League of New Orleans.
