Portobello Mushroom Pizzas
Description
Portobello Mushroom Pizzas transform whole mushroom caps into flavorful individual pizzas. The recipe starts by brushing Italian dressing directly onto the stem-removed mushrooms, which adds tang and moisture. Tomato slices and shredded or sliced mozzarella cheese are layered on top, then a sprinkle of oregano adds herbal notes. Baking at 350°F melts the cheese and softens the mushrooms while preserving some structural bite.
The resulting dish combines the meaty texture of portobellos with the melty cheese and brightness from tomato and herbs. This can be served as a small lunch, appetizer, or side dish where a lighter pizza alternative is desired. The method is straightforward and requires minimal ingredients.
