Prosciutto Arugula Pizza Recipe With Brie Cheese

Ingredients
- 1 premade flat bread, naan, pita bread or homemad pizza dough
- 4 tablespoons olive oil divided
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice fresh squeezed
- 5 ounce arugula baby
- 7 ounce Brie cheese sliced
- 1/4 cup red onion thinly sliced
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small mixing bowl whisk together 2 tablespoons of olive oil with the minced garlic.
- Place flat bread or pizza dough on a pizza stone or baking sheet.
- Brush flatbread or pizza dough with the oil and garlic mix.
- Place sliced brie cheese on the pizza crust and place in an pre-heated 400°F oven. Bake for 5 minutes or until the cheese melts.
- In the meantime, whisk the remaining 2 tablespoons of oil in a small mixing bowl with fresh lemon juice.
- In a medium bowl toss arugula with oil-lemon dressing. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Place arugula over pizza and top with pruscuitto and sliced onion.
- Slice and enjoy.
Notes
- If you don't have time to make your own homemade pizza crust, head to your grocery store and pick up fresh pizza dough from the bakery or deli department of the store.
- If you are using fresh pizza dough, you will want to prebake the dough for about 10 minutes before following the steps for this recipe.
- For a crispy pizza crust, preheat your pizza stone in the oven while it heats up so that you have a hot stone for your pizza.
- A drizzle of balsamic vinegar or a sprinkle of fresh basil would make a beautiful garnish for this pizza.
