Protein Brownies Recipe
Description
The Protein Brownies Recipe uses almond flour and chocolate-flavored whey protein to provide a gluten-free and protein-enriched base. Dark sugar-free chocolate chips melted with coconut oil form a rich chocolate mixture combined with coconut sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract before folding in the dry ingredients. The batter is poured into a prepared 8x8 inch pan and topped with extra chocolate chips. The brownies bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 25-30 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean, resulting in a moist and dense brownie texture with bits of melty chocolate on top.
These brownies serve well as a snack or dessert providing a chocolate-rich option with added protein content. The use of sugar substitutes allows for reduced sugar intake, and the texture comes from almond flour, which keeps it tender. They can be sliced into squares for serving at any time.
Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting to ensure clean slices and prevent crumbling. Plant-based protein powder is a possible substitute if preferred. The recipe recommends lining the pan with foil and using cooking spray to prevent sticking and ease cleanup.
