Pulled pork loaded fries
Description
The recipe calls for large potatoes cut into chunky fries, tossed with vegetable oil and salt, then roasted on a baking sheet at 200°C until golden brown and crispy. Turning the fries halfway through cooking promotes even browning. Once baked, the fries are topped with leftover pulled pork, a mix of grated mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, and optionally fresh chili slices for heat.
Returning the fries with toppings to the oven for 5 to 10 minutes melts the cheese and warms the pork filling, making the dish ready to serve. This creates combinations of crispy fries, savory pork, and gooey melted cheese with fresh spicy notes if chili is included. The dish can stand alone as a comfort food or be served alongside salads or dips.
The preparation maximizes leftover pulled pork use and creates a filling, textured meal with contrasting crisp and melted elements. Mastery of baking times ensures fries are crisp without drying and toppings are heated through without burning.
